Conectia Ltd ("Conectia", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Conectia Tracking Shopify App (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our App. Please read it carefully.
1. Information We Collect
When you install and use the App, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Shop data: Your Shopify store domain, access tokens required to interact with the Shopify API, and configuration settings you enter within the App.
- Order data: Order details (order number, total value, line items, financial status) received via Shopify webhooks for the purpose of attribution tracking.
- Customer tracking data: Anonymous click/session identifiers ("ConectIDs") captured from URL parameters on your storefront. We do not collect personal customer data beyond what is already present in your Shopify order.
- Onboarding data: Company name, contact name, email address, and phone number you submit during the app onboarding process.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the App's order attribution and postback tracking features.
- To send postback notifications to your configured external tracking system (e.g. Cake / mywebconect.com).
- To communicate with you about your account, including onboarding and account activation.
- To diagnose issues, improve the App, and ensure service security.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your data. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
- Your external postback system: Order and tracking data is transmitted to the postback URL you configure — this is the core function of the App.
- Shopify: The App operates under Shopify's API terms and accesses your store via Shopify's authorisation framework.
- Service providers: We use hosting and infrastructure providers bound by data processing agreements who may process data on our behalf.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Data Retention
Order and tracking data is retained for as long as your shop is active on the App. Onboarding information is retained for our legitimate business records. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the address below.
5. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Shopify access tokens are stored securely and used only for the purposes described in this policy.
6. Your Rights

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The App uses a first-party browser cookie (conectid) placed on your store's storefront to persist the anonymous click ID across a browsing session. This cookie contains no personally identifiable information and expires after 30 days.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
